APFED’s Annual Patient Conference is a great opportunity for patients, family members, and health care professionals to make new and lifelong connections with other patients and caregivers who “get it”! In addition to full-day educational sessions, we have a number of related social activities planned to help you connect with others.
During the registration process, you may sign up for any of the events listed below. We’ll keep registrants posted with any additional opportunities that arise.
You can also find other attendees who are looking to connect in our Going to APFED EOS Connection 2019 Washington, DC Facebook Group.

Family Fun Day
Join us at the National Natural History Museum. There is no cost to enter the museum. For a small fee, we will offer a private charter bus to take our group to and from the museum. Tickets may be purchased upon conference registration. Bus riders may meet our group in the hotel lobby at 11:15 AM*. If you would like to secure your own transportation and meet our group at the museum, please plan to meet us at 12:30 PM in the Constitution Avenue Lobby on the ground floor.
4:00 – 6:00 PM
Enjoy some fun in the sun at the hotel’s rooftop pool. You can splash around while you get to know other families affected by eosinophil-associated diseases. Look for signs in the pool area to locate our group.
Meet and Greet
7:00 – 8:00 PM
Our Meet and Greet is a great chance for APFED conference attendees to come say “hi” and meet others in the APFED family. This gathering is open to all conference registrants, their travel companions, and children of all ages.
Adult Patient Get Together
This get-together is designed for adult patients with eosinophil-associated diseases. More information will be shared closer to the conference weekend.
