National Eosinophil Awareness Week (May 18-24, 2025)

Whether you are just starting out on your journey with an eosinophil-associated condition or have been part of APFED’s community for years, welcome!

In 2007, APFED drafted bill language to establish a National Eosinophil Awareness Week (NEAW). On May 15, 2007, The U.S. House of Representatives passed House Bill 296, forever recognizing the third week of May as National Eosinophil Awareness Week. The purpose of this special week is to create awareness and educate both the general public and the medical community about eosinophil-associated diseases.

The next National Eosinophil Awareness Week will be observed May 18-24, 2025. Annually, we also honor World Eosinophilic Diseases Day on May 18.

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing 2025 awareness activities that you can get involved with.

Light Up for Eos Awareness!

APFED is spearheading efforts to have buildings and landmarks lit up magenta in honor of National Eosinophil Awareness Week 2025! Take a look at  our calendar to see where to catch the special lightings this year! We are seeking volunteers to help us submit requests for lightings. If you can help, please let us know.
